The committee for the "Campaign to Keep the Theater Open" is pleased
​to announce the fundraising goal has been met as of November 25, 2014!
​We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those individuals,
​families, and businesses who supported the fundraising effort to keep the
​Virginia Theater open. Because of the many generous contributions that
​have been ​received, the digital equipment needed to upgrade the theater
​operations can now be purchased.

The Virginia Theater now plans to open again in the near future (possibly by the firsti of the year) once the new equipment is purchased and installed. Contributions have been received at all levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze, in addition to the seat plaques. Once the brass plaques and plates have been purchased and placed in the lobby and on the theater seats, the committee plans to offer a free movie weekend to the community, a way of giving back for the overwhelming support people have shown for the theater.

The committee will gratefully accept additional contributions. Additional monies received will be used for unexpected costs and repairs that may ensue. A link to the original fundraising letter and contribution form is below.
